Self Esteem Worksheets
Self esteem worksheets are a great way to help you boost your esteem. When you take the time to write down your thoughts, it helps you to see things more clearly.
No, you don’t need to print of hundreds of pages, using up your ink, just to write down your thoughts.
I would advise purchasing a notebook and using it to write down your thoughts on the following questions dealing with a basic evaluation.
How do you view yourself? Just start writing. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Write about how you perceive your physical body, your emotions, and also your mental state.
Next, out of what you wrote from the first question, how much is fact, and how much is opinion? Remember, an opinion is a personal belief or judgment that is not founded on proof or certainty.
You may have first written that you were tall. That is a fact. Next you may have written that you are not successful. Says who? Based on what? That is an opinion.
This exercise may take some time as each statement that you wrote will have to be looked at carefully to determine if it is actual fact or opinion.
You need to see which opinions bother you the most and then work on those. If you feel that you are not successful, yet you find that this is an opinion, it would be wise to uncover the deeper reasoning behind this.
For this example, on success, you need to find out where you developed your opinion. Better stated would be to find if this opinion is truly yours or it comes from somewhere else, a parent perhaps.
You may be a peace with your “success” yet rate it on a parents scale, thus giving you the feeling of failure in this area.
It will take some digging, but it will benefit you to go through those opinions and find which ones help you and change the others.
Easy? Probably not…
But these exercises will boost your esteem and your self-concept. (And you won’t have to spend a fortune on ink printing out pages of self esteem worksheets!)
